Oz Gel & Tactical Supplies have recently become a member of the Gel Blaster Association.
They are working with the QLD Police to launch a Stop and Think campaign, to keep the sport of Gel Balling fun, and safe for everyone.
The campaign educates us on the awareness of safety precautions to take, the current legislations in force, the penalties for mis-use and more!
We are all responsible when it comes to ensuring the safety of our selfs and others.
There are many safety steps the GBA teach us to use, such as: simply letting your neighbour know that you are using a Gel Blasters on your property. This can help avoid neighbours being worried and contacting Police, because they may not know its just a toy.
Of course, you should never leave young children unsupervised when using Gel Blasters and ensure when storing them, to make sure the mags have been emptied. Educating kids on the safety use of blasters is very important!
Being up to date with the latest legislations that are in place help us all to stay honest. Awareness is important, a Coffs Harbour man who was not educated is now facing charges of illegally possessing firearms, because he didn't know that gel blasters were banned in NSW. Awareness campaigns such as these can help prevent things like this happening.
Gel Blasters are currently legal to sell and possess without a licence in Queensland and South Australia. They are banned in WA, NT, NSW, VIC and TAS.
